Program Overview:
Postgraduate programs at the Institute of Mathematics, Mechanics and Computer Science are implemented according to independently established educational standards. The postgraduate study period is 4 years.
The formation of highly qualified scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel that meet the needs of the socio-economic development of the country, capable of positively influencing domestic and global processes in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning.
The fields of professional activity in this specialty are scientific and research activities in the field of:
- the functioning of computers, complexes, computer networks;
- creation of elements and devices of computer technology based on new physical and technical principles, methods of information processing and accumulation;
- programming languages and human‑machine interfaces;
- development of new mathematical methods and tools to support intelligent data processing;
- development of information and automated design and management systems applied to various subject areas;
- teaching.
Training of highly qualified scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel capable of:
− to solve professional tasks in accordance with the focus "Artificial intelligence and machine learning in socio-humanitarian and technical systems";
− to engage in research and teaching activities in educational programs of higher education in the field of computer science and computer engineering;
− improve and develop your professional skills;
− organize research teams, take initiative and take responsibility in solving complex scientific and technical problems;
− to contribute to the development of the features of the scientific school of the Southern Federal University.
Types and tasks of professional activity that graduates who have completed the postgraduate program are preparing for
Scientific Research:
- Research in the field of fundamental mathematics, including research in mathematical logic, algebra, number theory, algebraic geometry, differential geometry, topology, differential equations, dynamical systems, probability theory and mathematical statistics, mathematical physics;
- Research in applied mathematics and mechanics;
- Construction and research of mathematical models, in the best possible way reflecting the essential features of random data, as well as knowledge of methods for collecting, systematizing and processing random data;
- The study of universal mathematical patterns underlying models of random phenomena, and the application of these patterns to the study of the properties of specific probabilistic models;
- Publication of research results in leading international journals on mathematical and physico-mathematical specialties.
Teaching staff:
- Development of educational courses in mathematics, mechanics and mathematical physics, including on the basis of the results of theoretical and experimental research, including the preparation of methodological materials, textbooks and textbooks;
