The climate in Rostov-on-Don and Taganrog is temperate continental. We have many parks that not only decorate our cities, but also protect us from wind-blown sand and dust. Winters are mild and unstable with a high recurrence recurrent of thaws and ice slick. Spring is here very early, and feast of blossom. However, our southern Summer is really blazing-hot due to bright sunlight and heat. A characteristic feature is the abundance of sunlight and heat. The heating season starts in mid-October. By the end of November, the first snow falls.
