Purpose of this educational program
This educational program is aimed at training professional Russian language teachers in non-CIS and CIS countries. The program is focused on training specialists proficient in various methods, principles and techniques of teaching foreign students the Russian language both in the graduate's native language and in the Russian language.

Advantages of this study program:
- The educational program "Teacher of the Russian language and Literature" was developed taking into account the fact that the contingent of students is foreign with elementary or zero level of Russian.
- The concept of educational process assumes intensive mastering of the Russian language communicative basics at the beginning of the training followed by intensive study of professional disciplines, using scientific and educational literature in the languages that are native to the students.
- Students will be trained according to the given tracks in order to become graduates who are ready to work in their native countries, using theoretical and practical knowledge relevant for a particular region
Prospects. Career & Employment
After educational program students can work as teachers of the Russian language, taking into account regional specifics in their native countries. The main intended place of work for graduates is general education and private education institutions of secondary and vocational levels of education.
Besides, students have a possibility to improve the level of education and competence after graduation and to get a Master's degree. Graduates of the program will be able to work in general and private institutions of secondary and vocational education, where Russian philology is studied as a foreign one. Given the shortage and natural "aging" of specialists in Russian philology (not RFL) abroad, a high level of employment is anticipated. Individually desired jobs will be discussed with students as part of the career guidance work during their studies, educational organizations will be monitored for student requests, and communication and cooperation with these organizations (schools) will be established for subsequent employment after graduation.
