Purpose of this educational program
The program is aimed at training competitive, professionally autonomous, motivated, mobile, capable of continuous professional development of translators with a certain set of general cultural and professional competencies, including systematized knowledge, skills and practical skills.
Education under this program will allow them to carry out translation, diplomatic, research and other activities that require knowledge of foreign languages for the productive solution of theoretical and practical problems in an innovative society.

Among the advantages of this study program are:

- The main advantage of the educational program is the training of specialists who speak English and Spanish. Taking into account the current situation in Western Europe and the countries of South and Latin America, as well as Russia's geopolitical interests in these regions, translators who speak English and Spanish and have knowledge of the national, cultural and religious characteristics of the inhabitants of the region will be in high demand in the labor market.
- During their studies, students have the opportunity to participate in academic exchange programs, studying at universities in different partner countries of SFU. Some of the classes are conducted by visiting professors from the USA, Great Britain, Spain, Chile, India.
- In total, 8 foreign professors are currently working at the graduating department.
- Students can start their professional career already in their senior years, taking part in projects with partners and customers of the university and the graduating department.
Prospects. Career & Employment
You can translate a variety of content, including: commercial, educational, financial, legal, marketing and advertising, medical, political, scientific, technical. You could also work as a literary translator, translating works of fiction, or as a subtitler, translating dialogue on films, TV programmes and video games.
During last semesters, students will be able to start their career by interning at leading companies in the region, such as Rostvertol, Taganrog Metallurgical Plant, Taganrog Boiler Plant Krasny Kotelshchik, Rostselmash Group, Taganrog Aviation Scientific and Technical Complex named after G.M.
