Hydrometeorology

Bachelor's Degree (BSc), Institute of Earth sciences

05.03.04 Hydrometeorology

Purpose of this educational program

Hydrometeorology is all about studying the atmosphere, hydrosphere, and how they interact with each other. It's about understanding wave formation and predicting weather. Hydrometeorologists do research in labs and on the field, both inside and outside. They learn about the oceans, lakes, and atmosphere.

Students will study hydrometeorological disciplines in depth and consider various processes in the atmosphere, ocean and hydrosphere, methods of their research and issues of weather forecasting. Moreover, they get acquainted with the basics of related sciences, geophysics, hydrology and agrometeorology.
