Throughout the academic year, a team of students of the Faculty of Management of the 3rd year of the direction "Management" consisting of Anton Ignatiev, Diana Aji, Alina Inyutkina, Ekaterina Katunina, Nikita Kryl took part in the III Interregional Universiade of the Southern State University of the Bank of Russia (Krasnodar).

The team was curated by Elena Nikolaevna Karpova, Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and Technology in Management at the Faculty of Management of the Southern Federal University.

The first regional stage of the Universiade was held in November 2023 and included master classes from representatives of the Bank of Russia and specialized experts on the topics of digitalization, financial technologies, monetary policy, risk management in the bank, consumer protection in the financial market.

The final test of the regional stage was the individual testing of each team member. According to the results of the team competition, the team of the Faculty of Management of SFedU entered the TOP 9 teams (and 38 teams participated in total!), which made it to the finals of the Universiade. And most importantly, the team from Rostov-on-Don reached the final stage for the first time.

In January, the final stage began, during which the team first generated a number of ideas, from which representatives of the Southern State University of the Bank of Russia chose one that the students had to work out and formalize into a full-fledged project. The guys worked on a project in the Digitalization block - "Development of an application for interbank interaction to resolve disputed and fraudulent money transfers of individuals."

During the preparation of the project, the team interacted with a representative of the Rostov branch of the Southern State Institution of the Bank of Russia.

On April 25, the team and curator Karpova E.N. were invited to the Rostov branch to meet with employees and students of universities in our city (RSEU (RINH), DSTU). The meeting was opened by Natalia Leontieva, the Head of the Rostov-on-Don Branch. In her welcoming speech, she told about the history of the founding of the Office of the state Bank in Rostov-on-Don, the specifics of working in the Central Bank, shared her personal example of working in a bank.

At the meeting, a team of students from the Faculty of Management of the Southern Federal University presented a report on the topic "Digital ruble in the context of the concept of "digital currency of the Central Bank", which received positive feedback from the staff of the Rostov branch.

Also during the meeting, master classes were held from employees of the economic department, the department of payment systems and settlements, the department of cash circulation and cash transactions, the department of human resources. During the master classes, the participants received valuable information about the role of the Bank of Russia in the financial market, about the pilot project for the introduction of the digital ruble; learned how to deal with damaged banknotes correctly, as well as how to build a career in the Bank of Russia.

At the end of the meeting, a tour of the historical part of the building was conducted.

The team of the Faculty of Management of the Southern Federal University received parting words and good luck wishes at the final stage of the Universiade from the Department Manager.

The final stage of the Universiade took place on April 27. The team presented its project at a high level and confidently answered the questions of the jury, which included representatives of the Southern State Bank of Russia, Sberbank, Rostelecom. The project aroused the interest of the jury members, who expressed a desire for further mutual discussion of the project implementation.
