From October 25 to 27, the World Championship in national Chinese wrestling — shuaijiao (wushu) was held in Baoding, China.
This prestigious international tournament brought together more than 500 athletes from around the world, representing the age categories from 16 to 57 years old.
Among the participants was a representative of Russia, Yaromir Kanatov, a 4th—year student of the Academy of Physical Culture and Sports of the Southern Federal University. He adequately represented our country on the world stage, demonstrating a high level of skill and excellent physical fitness.
The preparation for the championship lasted two months, and Yaromir's coach, Yuri Kanatov, a former Wushu World Championship medalist in China in 2012, played a big role in achieving success. Thanks to intensive training and the support of an experienced mentor, Yaromir managed to reach a new level in his sport.
Following the results of the competition, the Russian national team showed excellent results, confirming its status as a strong sports power. Of particular pride is the performance of Yaromir Kanatov, who won the bronze medal, taking third place in his age category.
