On April 25, students of the SFedU International Institute of Interdisciplinary Education and Ibero-American Studies made a presentation at the International Forum "Foro internacional sobre interculturalidad: intercambio de saberes y experiencias – 2026" ("International Forum on Intercultural Interaction: Exchange of Knowledge and Experience – 2026").

The forum, organized by the University of Veracruz (Mexico) in cooperation with the Mexican Association of Teachers of Spanish as a Foreign Language, was attended by representatives of universities in Argentina, Brazil, Spain, Canada, China, Colombia, Mexico, the Netherlands, Peru, Russia, the USA, France and Chile (https://www.uv.mx/eee/eventos/foro-internacional-2026 /  ).

Angelina Shalimova and Anastasia Popivnenko, 2nd-year undergraduates of the program "Theory of Translation and Intercultural Communication", together with 2nd-year undergraduate students studying in the program "Philology and Translation (Spanish language and Literature; English and Portuguese), Kristina Kazikova and Alina Kornienko prepared and presented a report at the forum "Interculturalidad por dentro: una mirada de los estudiantes de la Universidad Federal del Sur" ("Intercultural interaction from within: the view of students of the Southern Federal University").

In the report, which was presented in Spanish, the students shared their views on learning in the intercultural environment of the SFedU International Institute of Interdisciplinary Education and Ibero-American Studies. The foreign participants were particularly interested in the experience of our students in mastering the disciplines module of the University of Veracruz, integrated into the online bachelor's degree program "Philology and Translation (Spanish language and Literature; English and Portuguese)".

The audience's attention was also drawn to the story about the participation of students in joint events of the SFedU International Institute of Interdisciplinary Education and Ibero-American Studies and foreign universities that contribute to the development of students' professional competencies. The report reflects not only lectures by experts, professors and leading domestic and foreign specialists within the framework of annual Academic Online readings, but also cultural and educational events within the framework of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, which were conducted by undergraduates of the SFedU Moscow Institute of Economics for students of the University of Veracruz studying Russian (2025). The experience of simultaneous interpretation gained by the undergraduates of the program "Theory of Translation and Intercultural Communication" during the V International Congress "National Identity through the Prism of Language and Dialogue of Cultures: Russia and the Ibero-American World", organized by the Southern Federal University and the University of Veracruz, received special attention.
