Structure of Modern English: Grammar Aspect
The goal of mastering the discipline “Structure of Modern English: Grammar Aspect" is to develop knowledge and competencies reflected in the state standard for undergraduates and contribute to the successful professional activities of the Master of Education in the program “Methods of Teaching Foreign Languages in Educational Organizations at various levels".
The purpose of the proposed course is to systematize and deepen the knowledge of graduate students about the patterns of functioning of the language system; to generalize and expand knowledge of English as a means of obtaining and systematizing knowledge in the specialty, which will contribute to the involvement of students in a wide linguistic and scientific-theoretical context, and will also contribute to the formation and consolidation of the ability of undergraduates to see language phenomena in their wholeness, interconnection and interdependence.
The task of discipline: one of the main objectives of the proposed course is to familiarize undergraduates with the conceptual apparatus and basic methods of discipline, the formation of skills in the analysis of language phenomena from the point of view of the structural features of modern English, in particular grammatical. Moreover, the course aims to highlight the spectrum of social parameters that affect the development of the language, analyze the linguistic factors of social changes, create a system of theoretical knowledge in the field of theoretical grammar of the English language, as well as study the grammatical features of the English language of different social and age groups speaking in their system and interdependence. The goals and objectives of training are inextricably linked with the development of general professional competencies, which contribute to the solid formation of professional knowledge and skills of undergraduates.
