In the second half of April, a large-scale visit of students and young scientists of the Hydroacoustic Systems and Complexes division to the Blue Lake test site took place. The work at the landfill lasted 4 days. During this time, a series of events was held.

The young researchers set up a tent camp, launched a small vessel and completed a series of studies according to the planned work program, including:
– laboratory work in field conditions for 3rd year students of the specialty 05.26.04 Application and operation of technical systems of surface ships and submarines in the course "Underwater vehicles and systems";
– laboratory work in field conditions for 4th year students of the specialty 05.26.04 Application and operation of technical systems of surface ships and submarines in the course "Design and technology of production of devices and systems".

As part of the project course for 1st year students of the specialty 05.26.04 Application and operation of technical systems of surface ships and submarines, practical classes were conducted in field conditions. Undergraduates in the field of 12.04.00 Photonics, instrumentation, optical and biotechnical systems and technologies, as part of their work practice, performed work on sonar surveying of the bottom of the reservoir.
The members of the Akustika Design Bureau tested the operation of small unmanned boats for hydrographic and environmental research, and the young scientists of the division conducted field tests of broadband HBO created within the framework of the Marine Instrumentation and Signal Processing Engineering Development Center.

As part of the field experiments, the guys took sound velocity profiles at various points of the lake; set sonar targets in the water area and performed experiments using a parametric profilograph, 250 kHz side-view sonar, 500-800 kHz broadband side-view sonar and 520 kHz interferometric side-view sonar.
The results obtained will form the basis of theses and reports at conferences of various levels. The work at the Blue Lake landfill itself has become not only a test of skills in practice, but also an exciting journey.
