The SFedU hosted a series of International Academic Online readings

The SFedU International Institute of Interdisciplinary Education and Ibero-American Studies hosted the final session of the cycle of International Academic Online readings in the current academic year.

Invited foreign experts addressed a wide audience of students, postgraduates and teachers. The program of the XXVI International Academic Internet Readings "Philology, Intercultural Communication and Translation in the 21st Century" was opened by a lecturer from Kazakhstan, Bakhyt Galiyeva, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics at the Faculty of Information Technology of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Corresponding member of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Kazakhstan, member Kazpryal. In her speech, Bakhyt Khasenovna spoke about the cultural component as a means of developing the reading literacy of schoolchildren.

The lecture was followed by Marina Berry, a representative of the University of Buenos Aires (Argentina), Doctor of Linguistics, researcher at the National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET), author of books, winner of several literary awards, including the Independent Latin American Prize in Non-Fiction, member of the Argentine Dostoevsky Society, as well as a translator into Spanish the language of classical Russian literature (A.I. Kuprin's novel "The Garnet Bracelet" was translated jointly with F. Garcia Brunelli). During the lecture, Marina Berry addressed the topic of understanding foreign culture in the process of learning a language, illustrating it with examples from her book Alfabeto ruso.

The lectures provoked a lively discussion and numerous questions from the audience. At the end of the event, Natalia Karpovskaya, the Rector's Plenipotentiary representative in the Ibero-American area, Director of the International Institute of Interdisciplinary Education and Ibero-American Studies, noted that such a format of events strengthens the scientific dialogue between the countries, as well as provides students with an invaluable opportunity to learn from the world's leading experts.

During the cycle of International Academic Internet Readings in the current academic year, leading Russian and foreign experts delivered lectures:

- Olga Alekseevna Leshchinskaya (Francysk Skaryna Gomel State University, Belarus),

Gulbagira Kairbekovna Ayupova (L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Kazakhstan),

Lyudmila Borisovna Savenkova (Southern Federal University, Russia),

- Archelia Ramirez Ramirez (University of Veracruz, Mexico),

- Cristian Lamesa (international geopolitical analyst, photographer, writer, Ambassador of the Russian Society Znanie, Argentina),

- Lien-Huong Vo (Hue University, Vietnam),

- Mahasha Pete Rampedi (Editor-in-chief of the African Times, South Africa).

Online readings at the International Institute of Interdisciplinary Education and Ibero-American Studies continue to be a platform for lively scientific communication, where new ideas are born and professional ties are strengthened.
