Lilia Goryunova, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Inclusive Education and Socio-Pedagogical Rehabilitation, in the period from May 15 to May 25, completed an internship "Training of teaching staff for special and inclusive education within the framework of the Master's program of double diplomas: design and implementation in a changing higher education system" at the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank with the support of the Vladimir Potanin Charitable Foundation.
The purpose of the scientist's trip was to increase the level of professional competence in the field of teacher training for special and inclusive education within the framework of the joint educational program of advanced higher education (master's program of double diplomas).
As part of the business program, Lilia Goryunova took part in a round table where, together with Vera Khitryuk, director of the Institute of Inclusive Education of the host university and its leading specialists, they discussed issues of training personnel for special and inclusive education of the two countries, identified areas of cooperation in this area in the context of networking, formulated areas of joint scientific research.
The issues of creating network programs of double diplomas of the Southern Federal University and the Maxim Tank Belarusian State Pedagogical University in the field of work with children with autism spectrum disorders were discussed at a meeting with Irina Turchenko, head of the Center for Organizational and Methodological Support of Educational Activities; Andrey Derevinsky, Head of the Magistracy Department; Tatyana Balyasnikova, Deputy Head of the International Cooperation Department; Yulia Strogaya, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs of the Institute of Inclusive Education; Vladimir Volchenkov, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs of the Institute of Inclusive Education.
The internship program also included a visit to the Republican Resource Center for Inclusive Education, the Center for the Development of Teacher Education, the Coordination Center "Education for Sustainable Development", the Resource Center for Socio-Pedagogical Technologies, which are part of the Maxim Tank Belarusian State Pedagogical University. Cooperation with the specialists of these departments made it possible to identify points of interaction in the field of teacher training, research and joint work of the student scientific communities of the Southern Federal University and the Maxim Tank Belarusian State Pedagogical University.
