Signal processing, audiovisual equipments, cultural and social studies.

Research projects:

Yuri V. Ryzhov repeatedly performed research on the RFBR grants (application of mathematical methods to the study of culture), and  RHF grants (the philosophical aspects of the theory of creativity and research of the concept "the care of the self")
