The course "Social Science" is intended for foreign citizens mastering an additional general education program in social studies at the preparatory faculty of SFedU. This course introduces foreign students to basic sociological and political science concepts, as well as the most significant sociological and political theories.

Objectives of mastering the discipline: - formation of the communicative competence of a specialist among bachelor students, the achievement of which is carried out through:; mastering knowledge, skills and abilities in the field of business and interpersonal communication in the offline and online environment; ; mastering modern socio-psychological knowledge in the field of business communication; ; developing the ability to collect, analyze and interpret complex communication problems for their skillful resolution; ; the formation of students' personal culture of communication of a graduate of the Southern Federal University.
