Research interests:

  • Inorganic synthesis: synthesis of Pt/C, PtM/C and PtM1M2/C (M1/2 = Ni, Cu, Co, Ag, Ni, Au) catalysts by wet-synthesis techniques, post-treatment of catalysts.
  • Study of structure of the Pt/C and PtM/C materials by XRD, TEM, SEM and TGA/DSC techniques.
  • Investigation of stability and catalytic activity of Pt-based materials in oxygen electro reduction reaction (ORR) and methanol oxidation reaction (MOR).
  • Electrochemical techniques: voltammetry techniques (Cyclic Voltammetry, Linear Sweep Voltammetry), Chronoamperometry, Chronopotentiometry, Pulse current electrodeposition on stationary and rotating disc electrodes.
  • Measurement of electrochemical active surface area (CO-stripping, Hads/des).
  • Determination of kinetic parameters of oxygen electroreduction reaction.
  • Electrochemical data processing, analysis and interpretation.
  • Practical experience on different potentiostats WaveDriver 20 (Pine Instruments, Inc., USA) and VersaSTAT3 (Princeton Applied Research, USA).
  • Work at the test station (FC-LAB).
