Teaching:

  • Search and detection of optical signals (labs)
Forming students' knowledge of search and detection of objects and signals, as well as the skills and abilities to apply knowledge to select the search strategy of the fixed and moving objects (sources), the synthesis algorithm for the detection of optical signals in a complex interference environment
  • Radio monitoring (labs)
The purpose of discipline "Radio monitoring" is to develop the students' knowledge and practical skills of professional work in the field of science, engineering and technology, covering the totality of the problems associated with radio monitoring of telecommunication systems. Objectives: - in the field of research activities: collection, processing, analysis and systematization of scientific and technical information, domestic and foreign experience in the field of radio monitoring of telecommunications systems; support the development, the study of radio monitoring systems. - In the area of the project: a comparative analysis of systems of radio monitoring network and information security in terms of data transmission systems, to ensure the required quality of service; rational choice element base in the design of systems of radio monitoring systems and means of protection of information, ensure the required quality of service of telecommunication systems; designing radio monitoring systems; conformity assessment of the results of design requirements specification. - In the field of control and analytical activities: execution of technical works for certification of telecommunication systems, taking into account the requirements of data protection; part in the certification of telecommunication systems, technical means to ensure compliance with appropriate safety protection for classes of information. - In the area of operational activities: operation of special technical and software and hardware complexes of radio monitoring of telecommunication networks and systems; preparation of calculation methods and programs of experimental studies of radio monitoring systems; defining the technical characteristics of radio monitoring systems.
  • Networks and systems (labs)
Contents cover a range of issues related to the theoretical foundations of the construction of the principles of action of networks and communication systems. As a result of the development of the discipline "Network and information transfer systems" the student must a) know: - Reference Model of Open Systems Interconnection, methods of switching and routing, network protocols; - Telecommunication signals, principles of construction and communication systems; - The principles and methods to counter the effects of unauthorized information to computer systems and data transmission systems; - The basic concepts of building systems and telecommunication networks, and particularly their use; - Performance characteristics of the main telecommunications systems, signals and protocols used to transmit different types of messages; - The prospects for the development of communications systems and networks; b) be able to: - creatively apply knowledge of telecommunications systems to meet the challenges of the creation of secure telecommunication systems; - Monitor trends in the development of systems and telecommunication networks, implementation of new services and communication services; - Develop block diagrams of communication systems with desired characteristics; - Read the structural and functional circuits and communications networks; c) possess: - skills to analyze basic electrical characteristics and capabilities of telecommunication systems for the transfer of operational and special reports; Analysis of network protocols; - Skills to work with the scientific and technical literature on the study of advanced communications systems and networks to improve the efficiency of use of protected telecommunication systems.
