Research interests:

In 1980 he graduated from the historical faculty of the Rostov State University. After working as a teacher in secondary schools in the city of Rostov-on-Don. In 1992, the Scientific Council of the St. Petersburg State University, as the applicant thesis on "Socio-political developments in Epirus V -IV centuries. BC.". Since 1996, senior lecturer, then Associate Professor of General History of Rostov State Pedagogical University. In 2005, in the Saratov State University, he defended his doctoral thesis on "King Pyrrhus of Epirus and the State within the international relations in the era of Hellenism." Since 2006 - Professor of General History of WPC. Since 2014 - Professor of the Department of Archaeology and Ancient History of Southern Federal University. Author of more than 120 works on ancient history and the history of the Don Armenians. Author of monographs: "King Pyrrhus: antique historical tradition and contemporary historiography" (Rostov-on-Don, 2002), "King Pyrrhus and Epirus state in the Hellenistic world" (Rostov-on-Don, 2004), "the king of History of Pyrrhus of Epirus" (St. Petersburg, 2008), "The Armenian Apostolic Church on the Don" (Rostov-on-Don, in 2001, co-authored), "Nakhchivan merchants (the end of XVIII - early XX centuries (Rostov-on-Don, 2013).
