  • Historical and political geography
    The discipline of "Historical and political geography" is intended to familiarize students with the basic principles and methods of historical geography as a special branch of historical science and the definition of its place in the system of knowledge about the interaction of man, nature and society. The module of "Political geography" is devoted to the peculiarities of the political and state system of individual countries, patterns of socio-political development, the consideration of geographical and social differences in the population structure. Module "Economic geography" examines the challenges of placing the economy of specific countries and areas in close Association with the action of objective economic laws. Modules help to provide the students basic knowledge about economic and political geography, to acquaint with their place, role and importance in the modern world, to show the importance of the economic-geographical approach to addressing the critical regional and global issues of our time, to create a picture of the patterns and dynamics of political processes in the modern world.
  • Culture of the peoples of the don and the North Caucasus
    The discipline "culture of the peoples of the don and the North Caucasus" is designed to familiarize students with the main areas of the culture of the people living today on the territory of the don and the North Caucasus. Tasks: on the basis of factual material to provide the students with the basic conceptual apparatus of the discipline; to show the peoples of the don and the North Caucasus in the development of the historical process and its specific features in the designated region; - to acquaint with the culture of the peoples living in the North Caucasus.
  • archival science
    Discipline "Archival science" helps to develop students ' in-depth, holistic view on the contemporary state of archives and of archival business in Russia, taking into account continuity in the practice of collecting, storing and using documents from Russian archives in the pre-revolutionary period, Soviet period and modern times. It is assumed studying the development of scientific methodical and technological bases for the storage, keeping, acquisition, use of documents of Archival Fund of the Russian Federation. In the result of mastering the discipline students are imparted practical skills of work with archival documents in state bodies, municipalities, organizations of various organizational-legal forms, as well as state, departmental and municipal archives.
