Research interests:

expert in the field of the social psychology and communication psychology. Doctor of psychology, professor of the department of social psychology and psychology of personality at the Southern Federal University. Graduated from the Department of Psychology, Rostov State University (now SFU). In 1990 she defended her Ph.D. thesis on the peculiarities of the perception and understanding of the nonverbal behavior of the people by the children raised in a family and public institutions, and in 2005 - a doctoral thesis on the ontopsychology communication. She is engaged in the applied researches in the fields of the advertising, mass media, socio-cultural mediation of the communication, finding ways and means of the mutual understanding, conflict resolution, the effect of the manipulative tendencies of the personality on the relationship satisfaction, and others.

She is among the first modern Russian psychologists consistently studying the psychological phenomena from the standpoint of the humanistic-oriented theory and practice. One of the first Russian psychologists who began to develop theoretical and methodological, applied and practical aspects of the psychology of the manipulation: studying lying as a means of the manipulation, the conditions and causes that provoke the lies and manipulations, the means of the presentation and recognition of the false and manipulative information, socio-cultural manipulation prerequisites, studying the public consciousness manipulation, personality traits of the manipulators, and the effects of the manipulation.

Research projects:

She is the author of 208 scientific publications in Russian and foreign publications, including 7 monographs, 7 chapters in 5 collective monographs, including in a foreign edition. Responsible editor and author of the preface and three chapters in the collective monograph "Applied Psychology of Communication and interpersonal Cognition" Author of 7 articles in " Psychology of Communication. Encyclopedic dictionary / ed. by A. A. Bodalev", 2011, 2013, 2015.

She is the scientific supervisor of 4 PhD theses.

2018-2021-head of the main professional educational programs of higher education (training direction 37.06.01 Psychological Sciences, postgraduate studies)

2021-head of the main educational interdisciplinary research program "Cultural intelligence: language identity, psychological diagnostics and development technologies" (training direction 37.06.01 Psychological Sciences, Master's degree).
