Research interests:
Theoretical and experimental investigation of local atomic geometry and electronic structure in various types of condensed matter and liquid samples including:
- MOFSs (Metal-organic frameworks)
- metalloproteins, metal binding sites in proteins
- solids (advanced alloys, geological materials)
- nano-structures (Iron Oxide Nanoparticels, ferromagnetic Cu doped AlN nanorods, Pd nanoclusters, diamondoids) - bio-nano-objects (antitumor agents, gold complexes)
- transition metal ions in water solution
Effects and properties under the study:
- time-resolved local structure of nanostructures
- local structure of complex condensed materials
- electronic structure (density of states and fine details of hybridization of electronic states) of condensed materials
- polarized XANES analysis
- electronic structure of transition metal complexes
