The discipline "Hospitality Industry" is one of the basic special disciplines in the process of training bachelors in the area of training 43.03.03 Hospitality. The content of the discipline includes a historical sketch of the development of the global hotel industry, the study of the classification system of hotels, organizational management structures, modern models of the organization of the hotel business and management methods. Particular attention is paid to marketing, PR-activities.

The discipline "Organization of hotel business" is included in the basic part of the professional cycle of disciplines of the EP bachelor's degree for students studying in the direction of preparation 43.03.03 "Hotel business". The content of the discipline includes topics related to the study of the organization of the hotel business at different stages of development of the hotel industry, analysis of the current state and development prospects of the Russian market of hotel services, research of the foundations of the functional structure of a hotel enterprise, the material environment and technological solutions of a modern hotel through the prism of technical and regulatory requirements, familiarization with the practice of organizing the work of basic and auxiliary hotel services, current requirements for service personnel.
