Research interests:

Archeology of the Bronze Age of Eastern Europe, the study of the processes of culturogenesis. Systematics of the funeral rite, the typology of primitive ceramics.

Research projects:

Scientific guidance of archaeological research of artifacts from the Bronze Age, the Early Iron Age and the Middle Ages on the Taman Peninsula. Preparation of the project: "Source study of antiquities of the Late Bronze Age on the Taman Peninsula"

Teaching:

  • Archeology
    An introductory general course of archeology for undergraduate students of history. The concept of archeology and its place among other humanities and natural sciences. Periodization of archeology and basic terms. Types of archaeological sources. Methodology and methodology of archeology. Historiography of archeology. General characteristics of the epochs: Paleolithic, Mesolithic, Neolithic, Eneolithic, Bronze Age, Early Iron Age, Early and Late Middle Ages, New Time.
  • Archeology of the Stone Age and Paleometal.
    Advanced course for a master's degree with a detailed description of ancient epochs: Paleolithic (lower, middle, upper), Mesolithic, Neolithic, Eneolithic and Bronze Age. The emphasis is on the study of individual aspects of material and spiritual cultures according to archeology. It is, first of all, the life support systems of ancient people: dwellings, production sites and farm buildings, religious objects, etc. It, too, is an ancient technology of making stone, bone, copper and bronze products. This is the specificity of the production of ceramics in a primitive society. This is the systematics of funerary rites. This is the evolution of primitive art. Historically, the antiquities of Eastern Europe are considered.
  • Archeology of the paleometal of the Don region.
    Detailed description of antiquities of the Eneolithic and Bronze Age of the Don steppes. Characteristics of sources: parking, settlements, fortification, burial and soil burials, rock art, religious objects, treasures. Issues of cultural genesis on the Don: the formation, flowering and extinction of archaeological cultures. Metalworking, ceramic production, manufacturing of stone and bone products. The development of the funeral rite. Characteristics of economic activity and public relations in the era of paleometalla. The interaction of the population of the Don basin with surrounding tribes. Characteristics of petroglyphs in the Skelyansky farm, settlements of Razdorskoye, Konstantinovsky settlement, barrow burial pit, catacomb and logs.
