Discipline analyzes the evolution of economic theories from the standpoint of the socio-economic prerequisites for their formation; Acquaints students with the content of the works of world-renowned economists, allows us to correlate the significance of a specific economic theory with historical conditions; Serves as a basis for deepening knowledge in the field of theory and practice of economic activity.

Оbtaining and deepening knowledge about the main microeconomic categories from the standpoint of their functional dependence, allowing to study the laws of the functioning of individual economic agents, to identify the main economic-theoretical and mathematical relationships in individual markets, to study the main methods of state regulation of economic relations, as well as to analyze the possibility of making economic decisions at the level of individual subjects.

Оbtaining knowledge about the basic categorical concepts that allow to study the laws of the functioning of national production, to identify the main macroeconomic problems of the market economy and to study the main methods of state macroeconomic regulation.
