The aim of discipline is an acquaintance of students with the basic laws of physics and possibilities of their application at the decision of tasks arising up in their subsequent educational and professional activity. General labour intensiveness of the discipline studied in the first, in the second and third semesters makes 14,0 test units of labour intensiveness (504 academic hours).

For the achievement of the put aim the successive acquaintance of students is conducted with the next divisions of course: mechanics; thermodynamics and molecular physics; electricity and magnetism; electromagnetism, vibrations and wave processes; optics; quantum physics (including physics of atom and elements of physics of solid); bases of nuclear physics.

Thermodynamics and heat transfer
The primary purposes of discipline it is been: study of thermodynamics approach at consideration of the real physical processes; study of thermodynamics processes making the cycles of modern aviation engines and other perspective thermal machines; study of basic conformities to law of transformation of warmth in work in thermal machines; making of skills of analysis of the real thermal processes; development of the logical thinking and ability in writing and verbal speech it is correct to expound his results.
General labour intensiveness of the discipline studied in a fifth semester makes 4,0 test units of labour intensiveness (ULI) (144 academic hours), from them: lectures 0,5 ULI; practical employments 1,0 ULI; laboratory employments 0,5 ULI; independent work 2 ULI.
Name of the educational program, within the framework of that discipline is read: 25.03.01 "Technical exploitation of aircrafts and engines".
For the achievement of the put aim the successive acquaintance of students is conducted with the next divisions of course: bases of general thermodynamics; technical appendixes of thermodynamics, heat-engines; bases of aerodynamics; bases of theory of heat transfer.
