sociolinguistics, cultural linguistics,cross-cultural communication studies and theories, functional - semantic grammar, corpus linguistics

Teaching:

  • Practical Course of English- 4-th year students (BA)
    The objective of the course is further developing and improving students' speaking, writing and analytical reading skills, as well extension of their knowledge of cross-cultural issues.
  • Introduction into Cross-Cultural Communication Studies- 3-d year students (BA)
    The objective of the course is extension of students' knowledge of cross-cultural issues and their influence on communication in modern global communities. Students study the basic principles of modern commucation acts theories.
  • Practical Course of English-1-st year postgraduate students
    The objective of the course is further developing and improving students' academic speaking, writing and reading skills and the preaparion for the exam in English.
  • Business English: Cultural Linguistic Aspects-1-st year and 2-d year master's course students
    The objective of the course is extension of students' knowledge of cross-cultural and cultural Linguistic issues and their influence on communication in modern global business communities. The course also improves students' speaking, writing and oral presentation skills.
  • Cognitive aspects of Cultural Linguistics- 4-th year and 5-th year students (BA, specilists)
    The object of the course is investigation at the crossroads of two fundamental fields: linguistics and cultural studies on the basis on cognitive language theories.
