Dynamical chaos in hydroacoustics
The theory of dynamic chaos is discussed in connection with hydroacoustic problems. The classical and nonlinear dynamics of vibrational systems are considered, the concepts of stability of motion, phase plane, phase portrait are introduced. Distinctions of classical types of motion from chaotic are shown, quantitative characteristics of chaos and methods of experimental processing and representation of chaotic data are described. Examples are given from the field of hydroacoustics, demonstrating acoustic chaos (oscillations of bubbles in a liquid, cavitation, radiation chaos, nonlinear propagation of sound).
