SFedU undergraduates conducted linguistic and foreign studies events in English and Spanish for schoolchildren

18 мая 2026 г.

On May 15, undergraduates from the International Institute of Interdisciplinary Education and Ibero-American Studies of the SFedU conducted a series of linguistic and cultural events in English and Spanish for students of the Gymnasium No. 52 in Rostov-on-Don.

An English lesson dedicated to the International Museum Day was held for 6th grade students. Undergraduates interactively introduced students to vocabulary on the topic of "Museums", discussed unusual expositions of the world, and also played the game "Guess the Hidden Exhibit". The lesson ended with a creative task: the students told in English what exhibits they had come up with for their own unusual museum.

Spanish lessons dedicated to the culture of Latin American countries and dedicated to the International Dance Day were organized for students in grades 8-9. The students learned about the famous carnivals in Colombia and Bolivia, mastered the thematic vocabulary, and also performed tasks with interest to identify true facts and false stereotypes about Latin American dancing.

The events were prepared as part of the SFedU Institute of Interdisciplinary Education and Ibero-American Studies career guidance project "School and University Integration as an effective tool for developing relevant student competencies."
