The event is organized by the Institute of Sociology and Regional Studies of the Southern Federal University, the Southern Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Nakhichevan-on-Don Armenian community. The conference will raise issues of the history of the formation of Armenian communities and their current state, the role of the Armenian population in the socio-economic and cultural development of the region, interaction with other peoples, ethnic identity and social adaptation of the Armenians of Russia.
