The All-Russian open conference "Architecture in the culture of the South of Russia" will be held as part of the annual international cultural and educational event "Night of Museums"

The opening of the annual conference is scheduled for May 17 at 13.00 in the Exhibition and Educational Department of the Sholokhov Center of the State Museum-Reserve of M. A. Sholokhov "Quiet Don", (125 B.Sadovaya Street).

The organizers of the event are the Sholokhov Center and the Academy of Architecture and Arts of the Southern Federal University together with the Rostov State Conservatory named after S. V. Rachmaninov.

The program includes speeches and reports by Alexander Vladimirovich Larionov, Head of the Exhibition and Educational Department of the Sholokhov Center; Vera Nikolaevna Demina, Doctor of Art History, Associate Professor of the Department of Music History of the S.V. Rachmaninov; Anna Mikhailovna Ivanova-Ilyicheva, Candidate of Architecture, the Academy of Architecture and Arts; Professor of the Academy of Architecture and Arts, adviser to the RAASN Alekseev Sergey Yuryevich; Candidate of Historical Sciences, Adviser to the Russian Academy of Sciences, Leading Researcher at the Branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "TSNIIP of the Ministry of Construction of Russia" NIITIAG Olga Vladimirovna Baeva; Candidate of Architecture, Professor of the Academy of Architecture and Arts Buchki Alexander Mikhailovich, Candidate of Architecture, senior lecturer of the Academy of Architecture and Arts Moskalenko Irina Alexandrovna and students of the Academy. The main topic of the reports is the architecture of the South of Russia, the preservation of the cultural heritage of the region.

An exhibition of creative works by teachers and students of the Academy of the SFedU Architecture and Arts "Visual reconstruction of architectural heritage" will be launched at the conference.
