There is no secret ingredient: The Student Spring of the Institute of Philosophy and Socio–Political Sciences of the Southern Federal University

06.04.2024

On March 5, the spring of the Institute of Philosophy and Socio-Political Sciences of the Southern Federal University "The Legend of the Dragon Warrior" took place on the stage of the Regional House of Folk Art.

The plot of spring tells the audience the story of an ordinary boy from a Chinese village named Po. Since childhood, he has dreamed of becoming a real kung fu master and protecting his native Peaceful Valley from enemies. However, not everything in this life is so easy, especially when even your own father does not believe that something will work out for you, and forces you to cook and sell noodles. But by chance, everything changes dramatically.

One day, Po accidentally gets into the Jade Palace, where the best kung fu masters in all of China trained - a Tigress, a Viper, a Crane and a Monkey – the Furious Four. It was on the day when a simple noodle maker crossed the threshold of the Palace, the first kung fu master of China, Ugway, chose a new Dragon Warrior who should further protect the Peaceful Valley from dangers. At first glance, it is obvious to everyone that one of the Furious Four will become a Warrior, but Ugway points to Po.

From that moment on, his life is turned upside down. New responsibilities, daily training and an internal struggle with oneself – that's what was waiting for Po. The main test for him is the battle with the escaped Tai Lung, the first disciple of the master of Shi Fu, who trained the entire Furious Four. Tai Lung was supposed to become a Dragon Warrior, but the senior masters saw the darkness in his heart and imprisoned him for many years.

After overcoming all difficulties, reconciling with his father, defeating Tai Lung and coming to inner harmony, Po learns that there is no secret ingredient. Each person by himself is the very "secret" that makes him special. Having passed this way, Po became a real master of kung fu.

To convey the whole atmosphere of majestic China, students of the Institute of Philosophy and Socio-Political Sciences of the Southern Federal University used a variety of colorful Chinese-style decorations. For example, concert tickets were in the form of traditional Chinese lanterns. The music, costumes and even the very atmosphere in the concert hall – everything was saturated with the lyrics of China. Plast sketches, vocal performances, neon shows, shadow theater and much more surprised the audience that evening. In total, the students showed 14 different genre numbers.
