Veronika Tsybenko represented the Russian side at the specially organized panel conference "Russian-Turkish Relations in historical Perspective" at Istanbul Aydin University. An exchange of views took place with Turkish experts on a wide range of issues of the history and current state of relations between Russia and Turkey, the peculiarities and traditions of the Russian School of Oriental Studies and the Turkish School of Russian Studies.

Working meetings were held at the University of Yeditepe with the participation of heads of departments of Russian and Turkish languages, as well as the university administration, during which prospects for cooperation, exchange of experience and assistance to the development of Turkology at the Southern Federal University and Russian studies at the University of Yeditepe were discussed.
