Nanotechnology is a field of science that investigates methods for producing objects whose size is measured in nanometers. The nanoparticles used in this field are typically up to 100 nm in size. For comparison, a blood cell is about 7500 nm and a human hair is 80,000 nm.

In the capital of the South of Russia, this direction is being effectively developed by scientists from the International Research Institute of Intelligent Materials of the Southern Federal University. With their developments, researchers show how to see the infinitely great in the infinitely small, thereby changing life for the better.

The SFedU International Research Institute of Intelligent Materials makes a significant contribution to the treasury of domestic science and the development of innovative developments, implementing one of the strategic projects of the development program Priority 2030 of the SFedU "Express Material Design". In addition, MII IM occupies a leading position in the field of X-ray spectroscopy at the international level, actively collaborating with the National Research Center Kurchatov Institute, X-ray Free Electron Laser (XFEL) in Hamburg and the European Center for Synchronous Radiation (ESRF) in Grenoble. Together, this helps to create a new future for us and yours, full of innovation.
