Municipal - legal issues are in the center of scientific research of associate professor TP Georgieva, who defended her thesis in 2000 on the theme “Management of municipal property in the Russian Federation (intersectoral analysis of organizational and legal aspects)”. A number of her scientific publications are devoted to the problems of improving the economic and financial foundations of local self-government in the Russian Federation, the interaction of public authorities and local self-government, and the development of federal and regional legislation. One of the latest publications is "Municipal property as an economic expression of local self-government".
Scientific and teaching activities TP Georgiyeva, who reads the course “Municipal Law”, which is profiling for the department, is greatly facilitated by the close connection with the practice of municipal construction as a deputy of the Rostov-on-Don City Council of the last four convocations, the chairman of the standing committee on local self-government of the City Duma. She actively participates in municipal lawmaking activities, is involved in the evaluation of draft laws and other regulatory legal acts of regional and municipal levels as an expert of the Chamber of Control and Accounts of the Rostov Region and an expert council under the Presidential Plenipotentiary in the Southern Federal District. He is the Chairman of the Rostov-on-Don City Duma, a member of the expert council under the Presidential Plenipotentiary in the Southern Federal District; Member of the Expert Advisory Council to the Chairman of the Chamber of Control and Accounts of the Rostov Region.
Actively involved in the development of regional laws, draft decisions of the Rostov-on-Don City Council.
