Area of expertise: psychological, social and psychological security, security of a person in a multicultural space, tolerance and ethnic identity of a person; psychology of hindered communication, subjective well-being and subjective quality of life: possibilities to correct and develop these aspects.

Research projects:

Person's psychological safety in a multicultural and interethnic environment

The aim of this Project is studying the phenomenon of Psychological safety, its peculiarities in a
multicultural environment; as well as studying person's psychological safety taking into account the
variety of ethnic, cultural, confessional relations of the person, also taking into account the level of the
person's subjective development (growth), person's basic beliefs, tolerance, being ready for social
contacts with other persons of different ethnic, confessional, cultural groups.
All the models of psychological, social and psychological safety, used in this project,offer the challenge of
new approach to understand those social processes, which are the result of strained, hostile relations
between the representatives of different ethnic groups, nationalities of the same multicultural region.
The aim of the project is to analyze objective, social environment and conditions, ministrant to reduce the
tensions and increase the safety of a person as a participant of multicultural, interethnic relations
(including person's living on native/non-native land), as well as subjective, psychological conditions:
personal enhancement, person's life purpose and values, which establish the potential for person's being
the subject of psychological safety and being able to accept and take the representatives of different
ethnic, cultural, confessional groups as persons of the same level, treat them with respect and favour.
The significance of the project lies in the necessity of studying personal and social bases of
psychological safety and understanding those mechanisms, which help to provide safety, security,
tolerance, person's being ready to cooperate with and to understand other person in the environment of
interethnic, multicultural relations.
