The Ecopeneration Ecology and Creativity Festival was held in the Botanical Garden of the Southern Federal University and brought together students, volunteers, eco-activists and everyone interested in sustainable development and the formation of an ecological culture.
The event was dedicated to the promotion of environmental volunteerism, responsible attitude to the environment and the development of environmental initiatives among young people. The focus was on the topics of separate waste collection, reuse of resources, environmental education and student involvement in volunteer activities.

Oleg Otrokov, Chairman of the Committee on Youth Policy of the Rostov Region, Inna Shevchenko, Rector of the SFedU, Alina Litvinenko, Head of the Donvolonter State Educational Institution, and other guests of the event delivered welcoming speeches.
The Rector of SFedU thanked the participants of the clean-up day for their hard work and stressed that this is a long-awaited and beloved event for the university, in which all departments of SFedU participate.

The festival has become a platform for the exchange of experience, communication and the formation of a community of like-minded people. The most active participants received memorable gifts from the event's partners.

Alina Litvinenko emphasized in her speech: "This traditional festival dedicated to the development of environmental volunteerism annually unites more than one and a half thousand participants of all ages. The program harmoniously combines benefits and creativity: the morning begins with a clean-up day in the format of an exciting quest and a tree planting festival, and continues with a vibrant cultural program and creative workshops.
The environmental trend has become the most popular in the volunteer movement of the region due to the relevance and special family atmosphere of the event. The project continues to grow, proving that caring for nature is a common cause that sincerely resonates in the hearts of people."

Yakov Aslanov, SFedU Vice Rector for Educational Work and Youth Programs, also delivered a welcoming speech:
"Greetings, dear colleagues and friends! I am glad to see how our good university traditions continue to live on. The clean-up day and the Ecopeneration Festival have become an integral part of SFedU, bringing together graduates, students and future applicants.

Today we honor the team that has become a leader in systematic environmental work over the past year. Eco-activism at our university is growing rapidly: students not only participate in the movement, but also act as organizers of significant projects. We are proud to support the SFedU Environmental Association in their quest to develop a culture of respect for nature. Remember: the result of our current concern for the environment will be seen by the future generation. Happy holidays, friends, and have a great mood!"
Educational and interactive zones were open at the festival site throughout the day. Participants were able to attend open dialogues and eco-talks on environmental issues and volunteerism, as well as take part in thematic quizzes and quizzes aimed at verifying and expanding knowledge in the field of environmental protection.

Katrin Fedoseeva, a leading specialist in the Project implementation Department of the Don Volunteer Center, noted: Ecopeneration is a landmark event, which we have devoted every effort to preparing: from coordination with municipalities and faculties to the development of a rich program with partners. The festival gathered about two and a half thousand participants and became a truly large-scale celebration of mindfulness.
We strive for absolute environmental friendliness: a separate waste collection for further processing is organized on the site. In the eco-hotel, through lectures, quizzes and master classes, we teach careful resource consumption and the basics of proper urbanism. Our goal is to highlight acute environmental problems and help everyone realize their personal responsibility for nature conservation."

Special attention was paid to creative formats. Various master classes were organized for the guests of the festival.: for creating paintings from recycled materials, making badges and accessories, working with clay, planting plants, as well as yoga classes and musical practices. These activities allowed the participants not only to learn more about an eco-friendly lifestyle, but also to put their knowledge into practice.

Ecopeneration has once again confirmed its importance as an important event contributing to the development of environmental awareness among young people and strengthening traditions of volunteerism.
