On March 27, as part of the Student Spring Festival, the concert "Kuzya the Housekeeper", staged by the Institute of History and International Relations of the Southern Federal University, was held at the Rostov-on-Don Regional House of Folk Art.
The play tells the story of a young housewife who moves into a new apartment and suddenly discovers that the apartment has already been inhabited. Her neighbor turns out to be a real brownie, Kuzya. Mischievous, economical and incredibly charming, he does not just share a living space with the heroine, but gradually becomes a part of her life, teaches her to take care of the house and appreciate the warmth of human relations.

The production organically combines game scenes, musical and dance numbers. The work with the screen attracted special attention of the audience: the director's technique, when the audience was waiting for the start of the video sequence, and the action continued on stage, created the effect of surprise. The original solution was also a false ending — the moment when all the actors took a bow, but the action continued, adding dynamics to the performance.

Supporting characters played an important role in the development of the plot: a caring but overprotective mother, an image of a father recognizable to many viewers, as well as Baba Yaga, Raven, Cat, Leshi and Nathan. Each of them received a vivid stage embodiment. The acting ensemble was noted as one of the strongest in the current season of the student spring. All the characters are revealed, none of the participants dropped out of the images.
The script and direction were highly praised for their clear structure, thoughtful moves, and emotional climax. The final scene with the "chests of happiness", which the students presented to the jury members, became one of the most touching moments of the concert.

The vocal numbers captivated the audience with the beauty of their performance, and the dance compositions with their increasing dynamics and original set design. The puppet theater was pleased with funny inserts and interactive interaction with the audience. The final number, with video footage of the rehearsals and the final line, became the perfect semantic chord, forcing many viewers not to hold back their emotions.

The artistic design of the performance was laconic and tasteful. The light, footages on the screens, outdoor decorations and interior details created a chamber atmosphere of the apartment. Musical backgrounds complemented the action in a timely manner, the sound was balanced with the voices of the characters.
The Institute of History and International Relations students independently developed the script and production, as well as prepared most of the dance numbers.

The concert ended with a standing ovation from the audience, who recognized this work as exemplary in terms of direction, script and acting.
