On July 8, the Rostselmash Palace of Culture hosted the awarding of diplomas to masters who completed their education with a red diploma.

About 800 graduates took part in the ceremony.

Rector of SFedU Inna Shevchenko, President of SFedU Marina Borovskaya and others addressed the students, their parents, and teachers with a welcoming speech.

Rector of SFedU Inna Shevchenko noted that the Graduate's Day is a special day for the university.

"The Master's degree at the Southern Federal University has a special meaning. People come to it seeking to know, strengthen and expand the scope of their thoughts, options for their professional path and, of course, give two more years to research, practice, science, their own development and the development of the university. It is by completing master's programs that you begin to gain conscious competencies when you more accurately and clearly understand that the world around us is becoming very complex, rapidly changing, dynamic. The person in this world is also changing. Congratulations to everyone on the fact that you are now rightfully graduates of the university. Our university turns 109 years old this year. All these years, the teaching staff here in the south of the country has been doing everything possible to strengthen the status of the country's leading and largest scientific and educational center. Indeed, you can always return to the university, it is impossible to graduate, because the process of learning, the people sitting here in the hall, I am sure, will accompany them all their lives," said the rector of SFedU.

After the reply of the graduating master and the performance of the students' anthem "Gaudeamus", the rector of SFedU Inna Shevchenko presented the graduates with diplomas with honors.

SFedU President Marina Borovskaya noted the slight excitement on the faces of graduates, which is no longer associated with exams or diploma defense, it is the excitement of people who are at the beginning of a long professional path.

Marina Alexandrovna wished those who have already found themselves in the profession, in no case to stop there, and those who are still looking for a dream job, the president of the SFedU assured that the master's degree will help them in this.

Daria Desyatova, a student of the Academy of Physical Culture and Sports of the Southern Federal University, received her first master's degree at the ceremony. In her speech, she noted that the years of study allowed her to gain invaluable experience, which she and her classmates, who have become close friends, plan to carry to the masses and put into practice:

"Wonderful student years are coming to an end for us today. The decision to choose a future profession has become the meaning of life for each of us. Studying will always remain a bright page in our memory. Many of us came to the university from different parts of the country and found friends here. It is said that it is during the student years that the strongest friendship is born. We went through difficulties together, helped each other with advice and business, developed, became better. The invaluable experience gained at the university will be a support for us. We have mastered the necessary knowledge and are now ready to contribute to the prosperity and development of society. We are masters now. I congratulate everyone on completing the master's degree and sincerely wish you never to doubt yourself and not stop at the success you have achieved!"

The creative teams of the SFedU congratulated the graduates with musical and dance performances.

Also on July 9, the awarding of diplomas to excellent masters took place at the SFedU Student Club in Taganrog. And on the same day, diplomas were awarded to graduates of the Advanced Engineering School of the Southern Federal University.

Rector of the Southern Federal University Inna Shevchenko congratulated the graduates on the successful completion of their master's degree.

In addition, on July 6, the "House of Officers" of the Southern Military District hosted the graduation of lieutenants from the Military Training Center at the Southern Federal University. Graduates of the Higher School of Economics of the Southern Federal University — in—demand specialists in the field of radio communications, information security - will go to serve in different parts of Russia.
