On the eve of the Day of Russian Science, the head of Rossotrudnichestvo, Yevgeny Primakov, met with the heads of Russian universities. The meeting was attended by the Rector of the Southern Federal University Inna Shevchenko and the President of the SFedU Marina Borovskaya.

The participants of the meeting discussed the prospects of increasing the number of foreign students in master's and postgraduate studies, double diplomas, grant support for foreign students, joint events within the framework of the Decade of Science and Technology in Russia, as well as the participation of universities in international Rossotrudnichestvo programs, such as "Hello, Russia!" and "Mission Dobro".

During the meeting, the heads of federal universities made their proposals, options for creating a system of preparatory faculties for future foreign students abroad. They talked about the prospects of opening and developing branches of Russian universities abroad, including in cooperation with large Russian corporations. In addition, representatives of educational institutions made a request for the help of Russian houses in collecting the personnel needs of different countries. This information is necessary for universities for more targeted and effective training of specialists for specific regions of the world. The parties also agreed to work together with Rossotrudnichestvo with an information agenda abroad.
