Basketball players of Peresvet-SFedU played a match with UMMC Yekaterinburg

10.01.2022

The visit of a team from Ekaterinburg to any Russian city is the most serious test for the host side. The last time the Foxes lost in the domestic league was nearly three years ago, with an incredible 65-game winning streak under their belt. However, for the Parimatch Premier League debutant this season, every league game is a challenge. Dmitriy Fedoseyev's team continues to pick up all the obligatory "bumps" for newcomers and is gradually settling into one of the strongest leagues in Europe.

Against the backdrop of the current champion of Russia and Europe, the basketball players of Peresvet- SFedU sometimes looked good, managing to add their bright colors to the overall picture of the game. But if the Rostov attack flared up, then faded, the UMMC attack worked smoothly and powerfully. And if after the first quarter the leadership of the "Foxes" looked simply solid (28:16), then according to the results of the second period and the entire first half of the meeting, it looked already unshakable - 25:60.

After the break, the Panthers managed to stop the attacking onslaught of the guests, but our girls could not improve their performance to the proper level. The match ended with the victory of UMMC with a score of 43:92.

Now the Panthers have to travel to the Czech Republic for regular season matches of the European Women's Basketball League. On January 12, Peresvet- SFedU will play in Ostrava with the hosts of the tour, and on January 13 with the Slovak Young Angels from Kosice. Broadcasts from the Czech Republic can be seen on the team's website.
