On April 23, the results of the V Qualifying Championship of the Southern Federal University according to the WorldSkills Russia standards were summed up. The jubilee Championship has become the largest for the university both in terms of the number of competencies involved in the competitive part, and in terms of the number of participants and experts.
More than 130 SFedU students competed for the title of the best in 19 competencies. Their skills were evaluated by 170 experts from the university staff, specialized organizations and the business community. Following the results of the two-day competitions held at the venues in Rostov-on-Don and Taganrog, the winners were determined who will represent the university at the National Interuniversity Championship "Young Professionals (Worldskills Russia)" in the following competencies:

Medals and diplomas were awarded to the winners by the heads of structural divisions of the Southern Federal University, representatives of the largest IT companies in the region that acted as partners of the Championship (Distillery, Inostudio, Oggetto, Afterlogic, Meotyda), as well as the chairman of the City Duma – the head of Taganrog Inna Titarenko and the director of the Regional Center for Information Systems R. S. Usatyi.
The attention and support of specialized organizations and companies emphasizes the great importance of the development of the WorldSkills Russia championship movement, its role in the training of qualified specialists and the formation of a unique professional community.
"For the contestants, such events are a challenge for the manifestation of not only professional, but also personal, strong-willed qualities. For experts, this is almost round-the-clock work on organizing the site, preparing and evaluating the work of participants, and attracting volunteers. We will make every effort to ensure that our contestants adequately represent the Southern Federal University and their region at the National Championship," commented Tatyana Efremova, Ph.
