At the Boiling Point of SFedU, the Day of Russian Science was celebrated

On February 8, during the whole day at the Boiling Point of SFedU, students and teachers, specialists and entrepreneurs, graduate students and young scientists took part in various events, including network events, dedicated to the Day of Russian Science.

The festive day began with networking events - the Youth Serpentine Marathon of scientific Practices and Scientist's Talk, where 21 Boiling Points passed the baton to each other. The scientists discussed the development technologies of Russian science and technology, and talked about the future. In the Youth Serpentine your report «From Wilhelm Roentgen to the present day» Aram Bugaev, Ph. D., Head of the International Research Laboratory of Nanodiagnostics of the Southern Federal University, presented how the X-ray radiation helps scientists and ordinary people.

Marina Borovskaya, Doctor of Economics, Professor, President of SFedU, delivered a visionary lecture «EduNet: Global, National Trends and Directions of Transformation» at the Scientist's Talk event.

All changes in the country and the economy are related to the extent to which science and education meet the strategic guidelines. One of the basic trends, in my opinion, is the widespread introduction of mobile technologies, big data and augmented reality technologies. And the EduNet project allows everyone interested to take part in the development of these promising areas, » said Marina Borovskaya.

On February 8, SFedU officially launched a pilot program of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation to promote the employment of graduates in 2020 in research positions in universities and scientific organizations. As part of the event «Employment of graduates in 2020 for research positions at SFedU», Evgeny Mukhanov, Vice-Rector for Innovation Projects and International Cooperation, congratulated the graduates of 2020 who were employed in research positions in the structural divisions of the university. The staff of the Career Development Center told the graduates about the opportunities (the course for young scientists «How to achieve success in a scientific career? », participation in the program U. M. N. I. K., Preaxelerator Umnik, etc.) and the services of the Career Development Center and the Boiling Point of SFedU, which will allow them to achieve success in scientific and professional activities.

On this day, the guest radio, scientific boiling Point SFedU was Mikhail Nevsky, head of education at the Observatory of the Department of space Physics SFedU. Mikhail Yuryevich shared his story of the way to the stars, stressed the importance of including astronomy in the school curriculum as a mandatory subject for the development of scientific and technical creativity of students, as well as the use of interactive technologies to improve teaching.

For the effective use of the «Stellarium» planetarium program, the Department of Space Physics of the Southern Federal University has developed a training manual «Astronomy, a computer planetarium at school and at home». The book allows you to include fragments of practical lessons in the study of astronomy, to simulate cosmic phenomena, thereby helping to enliven astronomy lessons and interest students. At the end of the online meeting, Mikhail Yurievich gave instructions to future students- «Think in all directions, engage in self-development and find your way in science» .
