SFedU student became Asian Powerlifting Champion

On May 16-17, an open regional traditional kettlebell lifting tournament in memory of the USSR MS N.G. Kurbatov was held in Krasny Kut farm on the basis of the House of Culture.
Men and women competed in the individual championship in the "snatch" discipline, and in the team relay, men competed in the "long cycle push" discipline.
13 teams and 50 athletes took part in the competition. The Southern Federal University team was well represented by several students and staff who returned with awards.
Individual championship (snatch):
Oleg Tolstokora (coach), weight category up to 78 kg — won the silver medal, taking second place.
Roman Fateev, weight category up to 95 kg, won the silver medal, taking second place.
Tatiana Levkova, a student of the Faculty of Chemistry, weight category up to 63 kg, won a bronze medal, taking third place.
Team relay (long cycle push):
The SFedU national team won the bronze medal, taking the third place. The team consists of Novruz Gurbanov, Oleg Tolstokora, Nikolay Toloknov, Roman Fateev.
