From May 13 to May 20, the All-Russian VTF Taekwondo Student Competitions were held in the village of Komyagino, Moscow region. The tournament brought together the strongest student-athletes from all over the country, representing the leading universities of Russia.
The competitions were held in the Olympic discipline of kerugi, a contact duel where athletes compete in the technique of punches and kicks.
The Southern Federal University was represented at these prestigious competitions by Anastasia Bondarenko, a student of the Faculty of Chemistry, a 1st-year student of the Faculty of Chemistry. She confidently went through all the stages of the tournament and won the bronze medal, taking third place in her weight class. This result is especially significant, considering that Anastasia competed at the national level as a first-year student.
Congratulations to Anastasia with a well-deserved award and a worthy performance at the national level!
Such results are clear evidence that Southern Federal University successfully combines a high academic level and the development of sports traditions.
