Results of the XXXIII Scientific Conference "Modern Information Technologies: Trends and development prospects" SITO 2026)

25 апреля 2026 г.

The XXXIII scientific conference “Modern Information Technologies: Trends and Development Prospects" has completed its work.

The SITO 2026 conference was held on April 16-18 at the I. I. Vorovich Institute of Mathematics, Mechanics, and Computer Science of the Southern Federal University. This year, the annual scientific Conference was held for the 33rd time. The conference has come such a long way due to the fact that its content is updated annually. The conference has long been a forum that unites several platforms for discussing the most pressing topics. The mixed format of the conference allowed to gather a wide audience of researchers from various scientific centers and universities in Moscow, Rostov-on-Don, Taganrog, Simferopol, Khabarovsk, the Chinese city of Shenzhen, etc., who presented topical issues of IT development for discussion. The main part of the meetings was held in person.

The SITO 2026 conference was opened by Mikhail Karyakin, Director of the I. I. Vorovich Institute of Mathematics, Mechanics and Computer Sciences of the Southern Federal University, who congratulated all participants on the start of the conference, thanked them for the support of the forum and wished them great success in the work of the SITO 2026. Alexander Trofimchuk, SFedU Vice Rector for Digital Transformation, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech.

This year, the SITO 2026 conference was held under the banner of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. This was not an order from the organizing committee, but almost all the reports at the plenary session were devoted to the development and use of AI capabilities in science and education. In addition, the issues of the use of artificial intelligence in education and scientific research were discussed at the session of the section.

During the plenary session on April 16, reports from participants from Moscow, Shenzhen (China), Simferopol, Rostov-on-Don were presented. Great interest was aroused by the report of Victoria Makhno and Mikhail Karyakin (SFedU, I. I. Vorovich Institute of Mathematics, Mechanics and Computer Sciences) on the center for educational programs in the field of artificial intelligence, created as part of a grant from the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation to train top specialists in the field of AI "DS" (Data Science) and the "TOP-DS" level. The SFedU won the grant for the creation of such a center in the competition and became one of the three universities in the Russian Federation that received the opportunity to implement programs at two levels at once.

A bright page of the conference was the report by Stanislav Mikhalkovich (SFedU, I. I. Vorovich Institute of Mathematics, Mechanics and Computer Sciences) "Machine Learning Library for PASCALABC.NET architecture and use in education", which presented the results of work on the creation of such a library, which is focused on use in the educational process and can be used in machine learning courses for students, providing a simple interface and transparency of algorithms, and can also be used in AI Olympiads for schoolchildren.

The reports of A. V. Tsymbalenko (SFedU) "Overcoming the "theoretical barrier" of introducing artificial intelligence using no-code platforms", P.A. Zelenchuk (Sirius University of Science and Technology, I. I. Vorovich Institute of Mathematics, Mechanics and Computer Sciences) "Asymptotic behavior of stationary solutions in a predator-prey system with ideal free distribution" aroused great interest, Demyanenko Ya. M. (Institute of Mathematics, Mechanics and Computer Sciences) "The use of AI assistants and locode solutions in the project activities of FIIT bachelors: first results and prospects", Abramyan A.V. (SFedU, Institute of Mathematics, Mechanics and Computer Sciences) "Integration of domain-specific GPT assistants as a model of controlled digital support in the course "Continuous Mathematics",

The conference was attended by 186 people. These are representatives of the MSU-PPI University in Shenzhen (China), V. I. Vernadsky Crimean Federal University (Simferopol), IPNG RAS Institute of Oil and Gas Problems (Moscow), Sirius Scientific and Technological University (Sirius Federal Territory), Computing Center of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Khabarovsk), Southern Federal University from Rostov-on-Don and Taganrog, and other universities and research centers.

The conference was led by professors G.V. Muratova, M.I. Karyakin, associate professors V.V. Makhno, E.M. Kuznetsova, P.A. Zelenchuk, Ya.M. Demyanenko, I.V. Loshkarev, E.E. Blinova, A.G. Evlanova, I.N. Shabas, E.N. Kuvshinova, O.A. Pichugina, G.S. Kostetskaya, S.A. Tryapichkin, D.E. Isaev.
