The production is based on the popular plot of a fantasy cartoon about the ogre Shrek, who lives in a swamp inhabited by fabulous creatures.

The recently married Shrek and the beautiful princess Fiona, who has been transformed into an ogre as a result of a spell, are invited to the royal palace. Fiona insists on going, where she wants to get her parents' blessing for this marriage.

At the palace, at the dining table, Shrek tells Fiona's father and mother the story of their acquaintance. Disliking the ogre, King Harold quarrels with Shrek, accusing him of turning his daughter Fiona into an ogre.

Meanwhile, another character in the story, the Fairy Godmother, reminds Harold of the promise to marry their children, Fiona and Prince Charming. Harold takes action and hires the well-known ogre killer Puss in Boots.

 During the hunt, where Shrek went with his constant companion Donkey, they are attacked by Puss in Boots. However, the Cat fails to kill Shrek and even joins the ogre and the Donkey.  Shrek, the Donkey and the Cat make their way to the Fairy Godmother's factory, where they steal the "Happily Ever After" potion, which, according to Shrek, will make him a "handsome prince" for Fiona. He and the Donkey drink the potion, but do not notice any changes and suddenly fall asleep.

Upon waking up the next morning in different places, Shrek and Fiona discover that they have become human, while the Donkey has turned into a beautiful white horse. After learning that the effect of the potion will end at midnight if he does not kiss Fiona, Shrek rushes to the castle with the Donkey and the Cat. Since Fiona doesn't know what Shrek looks like in human form, Prince Charming pretends to be a human Shrek and tries to gain Fiona's favor in order to get a kiss from her. To carry out her insidious plan, the Fairy instructs Harold to mix a love potion into Fiona's drink, but at the last moment her father refuses to follow this plan. After all, he wants his daughter to have true love. After a dramatic struggle, Prince Charming and his Fairy mother are defeated. Fiona preferred to remain in the guise of an ogre because she loved Shrek for who he is. As a result, Shrek and Fiona find their happiness.

The main characters understood the main thing – they need to accept themselves and others for who they are, despite the opinions of others and the prevailing prejudices. After all, each of us is unique and has the right to happiness, regardless of our appearance or origin.

The participants of the performance managed to convey a fabulous atmosphere thanks to the actors' masterful acting, rousing dancing, a bright light show, original costumes and well-chosen decorations.
