In the competition, which brought together more than 1,300 participants from 8 regions of southern Russia, as well as the DPR and LPR, Dzhemil Siydametov won silver in kumite (weight up to 60 kg) and bronze in the kata discipline.

The championship has become one of the largest regional tournaments of the season. The national team of the Rostov region, which included our student, showed a decent result in the team competition. For Cemil, this success was a continuation of his confident performances — last year he also won the Southern Federal District Championship in both disciplines.

The consistently high results of the athlete are the merit of systematic training in the Kyokushin section of the SFedU under the guidance of the coach of the highest category Oleg Yuryevich Zakharov. Now Jemil will have to represent the university at the Open Russia International competitions in Moscow, which will be held from February 18 to 23.
