Scientists of the International Research Institute for Intelligent Materials took part in the Forum of Future Technologies "New Materials and Chemistry"

06.03.2025

Employees of the SFedU International Research Institute of Intelligent Materials – Alexander Soldatov, Alexander Guda and Sergey Chapek – took part in the Forum of Future Technologies "New Materials and Chemistry", which was held from February 19 to 21 at the Moscow World Trade Center.

The Forum participants – leading experts, scientists, representatives of business and government authorities discussed advanced scientific developments and product solutions based on them. The Roscongress Foundation is the operator of the Forum, and the largest Russian corporations are co–organizers.

Professor, Head of the scientific area "Materials Sciences and synchrotron-neutron Research", Doctor of Physico-Mathematical Sciences Alexander Soldatov participated in the plenary session of the Forum. Among the key speakers are President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, President of the Kurchatov Institute National Research Center Mikhail Kovalchuk, Head of the Laboratory of the Zelinsky Institute of Organic Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Chemical Sciences Valentin Ananikov, Assistant to the President of the Kurchatov Institute National Research Center Vladislav Antipov and other leading scientists and specialists. in the field of materials sciences.

"The topic of the current Forum is chemistry and the use of new materials. These are really extensive, as they often say today, cross-cutting areas, they largely determine the movement of mankind forward, the implementation of the most ambitious plans of engineers and designers. Rapid changes are currently taking place in these areas, which, in turn, are creating the ground and "spurring" further, even more revolutionary discoveries – in healthcare, industry, microelectronics, the creation of unmanned systems, and in all areas without exception. It is quite obvious that in order to be among the leaders in key areas of scientific and technological development, and this is precisely the task we set for ourselves, we need to achieve, among other things, superiority in the field of chemistry and in the creation of new materials," said Vladimir Putin, opening the plenary session.

The meeting participants discussed the development of high-tech technologies in the field of new materials in Russia and ways to develop micro-tonnage chemical production. The President noted the need to scale the technologies being developed in individual laboratories for their use in large industrial plants.

SFedU Professor Alexander Soldatov and Associate Professor of the International Research Institute of Intelligent Materials Alexander Guda took part in the scientific conference "Materials of Future Technologies", which was held on February 18 and 19 as part of the Forum. Alexander Soldatov became the moderator of the section "Microscopy, scattering, spectroscopy", and also gave a lecture on the use of synchrotron radiation sources to analyze the structure and properties of promising materials in his report on the topic: "Operando diagnostics of materials in real time: AI technologies at mega Science facilities". As part of the section "Chemistry and synthesis of high-purity substances", Alexander Guda made a presentation on the topic: "Innovative approaches for low-tonnage chemistry".

The national technological leadership project "New Materials and Chemistry" is being launched in 2025. Its goal is to create the infrastructure and conditions for the production of chemical and biotechnological products, new composite materials, rare and rare–earth metals.
