At the last open regional kyokushin competitions "Don Cup" on November 3, which brought together about 300 athletes from six regions of the country, the athletes of the SFedU Kyokushin national team confidently showed high results.
Athletes competed in the disciplines of kumite, kata, and kata group.
In kumite, among men in the weight category up to 60 kg, the first place was taken by a student of SFedU Charakov Murad and the third place was won by a student of SFedU Siydametov Dzhemil.
The judging of the competition was attended by athletes of the South Federal University Kyokushin national team Valeria Petukhova and Mikhail Lavrik.
In the kata discipline (men's category from 18 years old), Yuri Ivashchenko won gold, and Cemil Siydametov took second place. Silver in the women's kata - Muravyova Nadezhda. The first place in the category of kata group among adult athletes was taken by Siydametov Dzhemil, Ivashchenko Yuri, Muravyeva Nadezhda. Athletes train under the guidance of Oleg Zakharov, an associate professor at SFedU Academy of Physical Culture and Sport, the coach of the national Kyokushin University team.
