A film about Arctic exploration was shown at the Boiling Point of the Southern Federal University

On September 3, at the Boiling Point of the Southern Federal University, as part of the FANK Science Film Days, a film about Arctic exploration "Coccolito. Dancing over the abyss."

Screening of a film about Arctic exploration "Coccolito. Dancing over the Abyss" grew into a discussion of hypotheses about climate change, about the importance of algae in nature and in human life, about the peculiarities of the hydrological regime of rivers in the Rostov region, about the influence of the World Ocean on other geographical shells.

But first of all, on September 3, at the Boiling Point of the SFedU, they talked about scientific research, field research, the versatility of the scientist's profession and even the possibilities of commercialization of scientific projects. In general, we went out of all timings again.

The discussion was attended by students and staff of the Institute of Earth Sciences of the Southern Federal University and students of the SUNC of the Southern Federal District, as well as invited experts: Professor, Doctor of Economics, Head of the Department of Economic Theory of the Faculty of Economics of the Southern Federal University Vyacheslav Volchik, Ph.D., Head of the Laboratory of multicomponent monitoring of periodically drying waters of the South of Russia of the SSC RAS Klim Grigorenko, Ph.D., Head laboratory "Molecular Biotechnology of Plants" SFedU Academy of biology and biotechnology Vasily Chokheli, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Oceanology (basic Department of the SSC RAS) the Institute of Earth Sciences of the Southern Federal University Alla Tsygankova.

At the end of the discussion of the film, the participants and experts made a general conclusion: science is life!
