From 24 to 28 June 2024, the international scientific conference "From Classical to Modern Analysis: In memory of Professor José Carlos Petronilho" was held in Sanlucar de Barrameda, Spain.

Director of the RSEMC SFedU, Professor of SFedU A. N. Karapetyants took part in this conference with a plenary report "Hausdorff type operators on a single ball in a complex space". Tatyana Mikhailovna Andreeva, MNC of the Russian National Research University, made a plenary report "Surjectivity and injectivity of convolution operators. Some interdisciplinary results." Vladislav Kravchenko, Scientific Director of the RSEMC SFedU from 2018 to 2022, also delivered a lecture“Presentation of solutions in rows and recovery techniques for inverse problems”.

The conference "From Classical to Modern Analysis: In memory of Professor José Carlos Petronilho" was organized by the scientific group of the University of Cadiz, with which the RSEMC SFedU has long-standing scientific ties. Members of the scientific group of the University of Cadiz have repeatedly participated in conferences and projects organized by the RSEMC SFedU. Within the framework of this conference, a special issue in the Journal of Mathematical Sciences is also planned with the participation of the RSEMC SFedU - see https://link.springer.com/journal/10958/updates/27263828

The conference "From Classical to Modern Analysis: In memory of Professor José Carlos Petronilho" is a satellite conference of the Ninth European Mathematical Congress, held every four years. The main purpose of the congress is the development of all aspects of mathematics in Europe and in the world, in particular, the development and deepening of mathematical research, relations between mathematics and society, relations within mathematical institutes, etc. The European Mathematical Congress is the second largest event in mathematics in the world, more than 300 people participated in its work, including world-class scientists, laureates of prestigious domestic and international prizes.
